I’ve recently become obsessed with making jam. Mostly so I can eat the jam. In very large quantities. What can I say? It has all of the taste benefits of eating pure sugar, but you can tell yourself that it’s very, very nutritious because, look, it has fruit in it!
(My doctor probably doesn’t agree with this logic.)
Due to my obsession with jams and preserves, I decided to make some free printable vintage jam jar labels to share. I made labels for apple, apricot, blackberry, blueberry, boysenberry, cherry, grape, marmalade, peach, plum, raspberry, and strawberry preserves.
You can use these jam labels as hang tags or as stick-on labels for the side or top of the jar. I would recommend printing at different scaling depending on where you want to use the label. As a rough guide:
- Hang tags: Scale to 90% before printing.
- Front of jar labels: Print at 100% (no scaling).
- Lid labels: It depends on the size and exact shape of your lid. I would recommend you do a few practice runs on scrap paper, starting at 70% scaling and adjusting as needed.

If you use these free labels when making your own preserves, I’d love to see a picture in the comments below (and if you’re some sort of seasoned jam god, I’d love to hear what your favourite recipes are!)
